Education verses moral values debate.

what if a person have moral values but he's not fulfilling his family's basic needs due to the lack of education so with this question I would like to start.

Honourable principal sir , respected teachers and all my dear friends ,a very warm good morning to one and all. Today I will speak against the motion of the topic "moral values and character formation should be the aim of education rather than intellectual development and academic progress "

Education.... Not moral values. Yes it's education that comes first. Moral values come after education or we can say.... Moral values come with academic progress and intellectual development. An educated person knowns how to behave in public. doctors ,engineers ,lawyers ,e.t.c. have respect in society if they are best in their profession. Moral values are necessary but not ... Essential.

Without education a person cannot survive in this world where most of the countries are developing. Without academic success and intellectual development ....we we cannot eradicate problems like unemployment overpopulation dowry corruption.
No new innovation is possible.

Moral values make your life good to better but good always comes first.

So it's intellectual development that comes first and then moral values.... Consider a doctor  who treats well and master in his profession but behaves rudely... Yet most people prefer to get treatment from  him... Due to his perfection.... Without caring about his behavior or moral values.

academic progress and intellectual development are important than moral values because it directly decides the positive outcomes of student after graduating.

Students who are academically successful and with high level of education are more likely to be employed, have stable employment, have  more employment opportunities than those with less education... And earn high salaries... And these does not come from moral values.
Intellectuals are more likely to have health insurance,.. are less dependent on social assistance, are less likely to engage in criminal activity.

Academic progress develops a feeling of active citizenship.
academic progress is important because working people will need higher level of education to tackle that technologically demanding occupation of future.
academically successful adolescents have higher self-esteem,  have lower level of depression and anxiety and are socially inclined.

positive self-esteem and self-confidence are critical factor in commitment to academic success.

Academic achievements are important for the successful development of young people in society. A student who do well in school are better able to make the transition into adulthood and to achieve occupational and economic success.

At last but not least, I would like to say that" I am indebted to my parents for living, but to my teachers for living well."
